Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Supervisor to lead our in-house optical team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will personally assist customers, take measurements, and verify eyewear against our high standards while guiding the team to ensure smooth daily operations.

This leadership role requires a licensed or ABO-certified optician with supervisory experience, strong communication, and a passion for eye care.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician or ABO-certified optician with 2+ years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail.
• Clear, effective communicator who explains prescription terms to customers.
• Dedicated to going above-and-beyond for customers and teammates.
• Energetic, positive team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Extremely detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs and record measurements.
• Check eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Set store up for daily success by enforcing operational and service procedures.
• Lead and mentor the Optical team, including Apprentice Program participants.
• Maintain store systems and inventory databases; support operations.
• Foster a productive, positive employee culture in the store.
