Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Supervisor to lead our in-house optical team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You’ll manage optical duties, mentor the opticians and retail advisors, and help open/close the store as a keyholder.

The role requires a licensed dispensing optician in CA with visual expertise and a passion for eyewear. You’ll oversee measurements, fittings, and quality checks while explaining prescriptions to customers.

Qualifications

• Active license as a dispensing optician in CA (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states)
• Minimum 2 years of experience including supervisory responsibilities
• Strong customer service mindset and clear communication of eyewear terminology
• Ability to explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers

Responsibilities

• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy
• Ensure finished eyewear meets Warby Parker standards and customer requirements
• Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers
• Set up store for daily success by following operations and service procedures
• Lead and mentor Optical team, including Apprentices, and model great service
• Maintain store systems, inventory databases, and overall operations
• Foster a productive, positive team culture in the store
