Job summary

Warby Parker in Walnut Creek seeks an Optical Supervisor to lead the in-house optical team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will open/close the store, mentor opticians, and ensure operations run smoothly.

The role requires a licensed dispensing optician or ABO certification with 2+ years of supervisor experience, a passion for eyewear, and strong communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician where required by state law or ABO-certified in non-licensing states.
• At least 2+ years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers to meet eyewear needs and record measurements.
• Fit eyewear with high precision and verify alignment to standards.
• Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers.
• Lead and mentor the Optical team, including Apprentice Program participants.
• Maintain store systems and inventory databases; support daily operations.
• Foster a positive, productive atmosphere for staff and customers.
