Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Supervisor in Walnut Creek, CA to lead our team of in-house optical professionals. You’ll rely on your optical prowess, friendly demeanor, and product expertise to create exceptional customer experiences, while also assisting with opening/closing operations as a keyholder.

The ideal candidate is a licensed dispensing optician or ABO-certified with 2+ years of supervisory experience and a passion for eyewear and retail.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license
• ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states
• 2+ years of experience including supervisory responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs and take/record measurements, adjust eyewear with accuracy
• Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers
• Check that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements
• Set store up for success by executing operational and service procedures to Warby Parker standards
• Drive store-wide vision and sales by providing exceptional service and acting as main contact for questions
• Lead and mentor the Optical team, including Optician Apprentice Program participants
• Maintain store systems, inventory databases, and business operations
• Foster a productive, positive employee culture in the store
