Job summary

Warby Parker in Columbia is seeking an Optical Supervisor to lead our in‑store optical team on the mall floor, focusing on exceptional customer experiences. You’ll take measurements, fit eyewear with precision, explain prescription terminology, and ensure finished eyewear meets our optical standards and customer requests.

As a keyholder, you’ll open and close the store, mentor the Optical team including apprentices, oversee inventory and store systems, and foster a positive, high‑performing work

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician or ABO-certified optician required.
• 2+ years of experience with supervisor responsibilities preferred.
• Strong leadership and customer-service skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers to meet eyewear needs and explain prescription terminology.
• Take and record measurements, fit eyewear with accuracy, and ensure quality for each pair.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Lead and mentor Optical team, including apprenticeship program participants.
• Maintain store systems and inventory data and foster a positive work environment.
