Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in optical.
• Frame adjustments and repairs knowledge.
• Experience taking measurements (PD, seg height, optical center).
• Familiarity with optical lab processes and lens types (single vision, bifocal, progressive).
• Experience reading lenses using manual lensometer.
• Ability to handle insurance eligibility checks and authorizations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when filling prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the optical dispensary, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance with company standards.
• Build partnerships with clients, providers, technicians, and staff.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing optical sales team.
• Oversee sales, inventory, patient flow, and merchandising strategies.
• Ensure accurate processing of orders and insurance claims, and timely delivery of financial reports.
• Monitor and improve key performance metrics, including sales, collections, and receivables.
