Job summary

Warby Parker in New Jersey is seeking an Optical Manager to lead our in-house Optical team. You will coach and develop Opticians, consult customers on eyewear, and ensure flawless measurement and fitting accuracy.

As a strong leader, you’ll drive optical metrics, uphold high standards, and promote a productive, inclusive store culture while partnering with the Store Leader on staffing and programs like the Optician Apprentice initiative.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in licensing states or ABO-certified in non-licensing states.
• Minimum 2 years in a management role leading a team of Opticians.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Optical team, providing ongoing development conversations.
• Manage optical duties: measurements, fitting, and ensuring standards are met.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Oversee staffing needs and participate in the Apprentice Program.
