Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Manager to lead our in-house Optical team and coach store Opticians, while consulting with customers to ensure the best eyewear experience. You will drive service, maintain optical standards, and foster a collaborative store environment.

The ideal candidate is a licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states) with 2+ years in a management role, a strong leader, and a passion for eyewear retail.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license or ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities with 2+ years in a management role.
• Professionalism and ability to make decisions with an open mind while supporting the team.
• Passion for eyewear and retail industries and strong communication skills.
• Ability to explain prescription terminology and product offerings clearly to customers.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Not on the LEIE list.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of Opticians; conduct ongoing development conversations.
• Provide exceptional customer service and implement retail experience programs to boost loyalty.
• Oversee staffing needs and manage Optician Apprentice Program participants.
• Support store systems, inventory databases, and general operations.
