Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Manager to lead the in-house Optical team and coach Opticians. You will guide service quality, manage fittings, and ensure ophthalmic standards while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The ideal candidate has a dispensing optic license or ABO certification, 2+ years in management, and a passion for eyewear and retail excellence. This full-time role is based in New York and emphasizes coaching, store operations, and customer care.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in licensing states or ABO-certified in non-licensing states.
• 2+ years in a management role leading Opticians.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and feedback skills.
• Excellent customer service and eyewear knowledge.
• Clear communicator who explains technical terms to customers.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist customers with eyewear needs and measurements.
• Record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear accurately.
• Ensure eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Lead the Optician team, provide feedback, and develop staff.
