Boscov’s Optical Department seeks an Optical Manager to lead a fast-paced team, perform dispensing duties, and ensure superior patient care.

You will interpret prescriptions, perform optical measurements, coordinate with the lab, coach staff, and maintain store standards while upholding HIPAA compliance and excellent customer service.

This full-time role also focuses on scheduling, inventory, and delivering a consistently positive shopping experience in a busy department.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience in retail.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong supervision and mentoring skills.
• Able to use computer systems for sales, ordering and timekeeping.
• Polished customer service skills and ability to understand patients’ needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by providing outstanding service and overseeing appointments, calls, and interactions.
• Interpret prescriptions, perform optical measurements, verify prescriptions, dispense eyewear, and process orders from sale to delivery.
• Lead, coach, and develop store associates to achieve sales goals and service quality.
• Oversee daily store operations including scheduling, workflow, order management, and inventory support.
