Boscov's Department Store, LLC is seeking an Optical Manager, Licensed to join its Optical team in a fast-paced retail environment. You will perform dispensing optician duties and handle managerial responsibilities, liaising with the lab to ensure timely processing of orders and maintaining a top-tier customer experience.

The role requires a state license, 2+ years of retail management experience, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Licensed optician in the state and up-to-date license
• 2+ years of management experience in retail with track record of achieving goals
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong supervisory and mentoring abilities to drive customer satisfaction and sales
• Able to use computer systems for sales, ordering and timekeeping
• Polished customer service skills and ability to understand patients’ needs
• Reliable and punctual to maintain store hours and coverage
• Interest in fashion eyewear and flexibility for weekends/holidays

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by overseeing appointments, calls, and customer interactions.
• Interpret prescriptions, perform optical measurements, verify prescriptions, dispense eyewear, and process orders.
• Lead and coach store associates to achieve sales goals and service excellence.
• Oversee daily store operations including scheduling, workflow, ordering, and inventory support.
• Process and verify third-party vision insurance benefits and claims.
• Maintain compliance with policies, licensing, HIPAA, and confidentiality standards.
