Boscov’s is seeking a Licensed Optical Manager to lead our Optical team and perform dispensing optician duties while taking on managerial responsibilities. You will interact with customers, confirm appointments, review insurance information, and oversee lab coordination to ensure timely orders.

This full-time role requires a state license, retail management experience, strong supervision and customer service skills, and willingness to work weekends and holidays to support store operations.

Formación

• Must hold a current State license to work as an optician (Licensed Optician).
• Strong supervisory skills and experience managing retail staff.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with computer systems for sales, ordering and timekeeping.
• Ability to interpret prescriptions and interact with customers professionally.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver exceptional customer experience by providing outstanding service, scheduling appointments, handling calls, and ensuring quality interactions reflecting the brand.
• Interpret prescriptions, perform optical measurements, verify prescriptions with a lensometer, dispense eyewear, and process orders from sale to delivery.
• Lead and coach store associates to achieve sales goals and maintain service standards.
• Oversee daily store operations including scheduling, workflow, inventory, and order status updates.
• Process third-party vision insurance benefits and claims with accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information and store policies.
• Manage opening/closing procedures, cash handling, POS transactions, and financial reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Director of Optical Services on business performance and relationships with doctors and leadership.
• Maintain a clean, organized optical department aligned with brand standards.
