Job summary

Visionworks of America, Inc. in Richmond, KY is seeking a Front Desk Associate to greet customers, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and maintain patient records under the Optometrist's supervision.

You will perform preliminary testing data collection, assist with payments, discuss discounts, and help keep the reception area organized. Optical experience and a HS diploma are preferred; part-time hours and pay between $9.95 and $13.18 per hour are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of experience, optical preferred.
• HS diploma, GED or 1-5 years of equivalent related job experience

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers. Schedule appointments according to Resources Scheduling guidelines.
• Answer the phone, answer patients' questions, check patients in and out, collect payments, monitor and perform front desk tasks.
• Perform preliminary testing data collection as directed.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records.
• Call for insurance preauthorization and follow up on hold authorizations.
• Clean and maintain the reception area.
• Discuss benefits and features of the discount club card with customers.
• Maintain Doctor Referral log for medical patients.
