Job summary

AEG Vision seeks an Optical Consultant to support patient care and education alongside Optometrists. You will guide frame and lens choices, explain recommendations, and manage orders with accuracy in the EHR and ALE systems.

On-site, part-time role emphasizing excellent customer service, product knowledge, and collaboration with technicians and management to ensure timely, high-quality eyewear.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• Proficient PC skills: MS Office, Windows.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care and education alongside Optometrists.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings.
• Explain customized product recommendations and services to patients.
• Enter prescription data into the EHR and ALE systems.
• Monitor order status and notify patients of delays or readiness.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and display boards.
• Collaborate with technicians and managers to ensure smooth patient flow.
