Job summary

AEG Vision's Eyes on You Optometry is seeking an Optical Consultant to support clinicians and deliver exceptional patient care. You will perform preliminary evaluations, assist with exams, and educate patients on eyewear options.

Responsibilities include documenting findings in the EHR, coordinating referrals, managing frame displays, and providing contact lens instruction. The position is full-time, on-site in San Francisco, with growth opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficient in PC software (MS Office, Windows, word processing).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to collaborate with team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations before exams, such as dilation and testing.
• Conduct patient interviews to determine medical issues for the Optometrist.
• Schedule referrals and complete necessary paperwork.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment.
• Document findings in EHR and assist with related clerical tasks.
