Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optical Consultant to support optometrists and deliver exceptional patient care. You will perform preliminary evaluations, conduct patient interviews, and assist with referrals and documentation in a fast-paced, on-site clinic.

Responsibilities include ocular testing support, EHR documentation, and patient communication, with emphasis on accuracy and HIPAA compliance. Part-time or full-time options may apply.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Detail oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic computer skills.
• Team oriented with strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary patient evaluations prior to exams.
• Interview patients to determine medical issues for the Optometrist.
• Schedule referrals and manage related paperwork.
• Maintain patient records in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and care.
• Assist with diagnostic testing using ophthalmic equipment.
• Help with clerical duties and scheduling optimization.
• Support end-of-day operational wrap-up and practice cleanliness.
