Job summary

Sam's Club is seeking an Optical Associate to maintain the Optical area, assist members with eyewear choices, and process orders. You will measure pupillary distance, adjust frames, and coordinate with labs and optometrists to ensure accurate eyewear delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ABO certification within 15 months, and compliance with state licensure rules where applicable. In-store duties include handling payments, insurance claims, and keeping the Optical area

• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• State licensure requirements and Apprenticeship/permit timing per state law; ensure licensure within required hours.

Responsibilities

• Stock and stockroom upkeep in the Optical area; process member purchases and returns.
• Assist members with eyewear decisions; measure pupillary distance and frame sizing.
• Perform frame adjustments, repairs, and order eyewear/contacts; coordinate with labs and optometrists.
