Job summary

Sam's Club in Shakopee, MN is seeking an Optical Associate to maintain optical displays, process member purchases, and support eye care services. You will measure pupillary distance, assist with frame adjustments, and manage eyewear and contact lens orders in a busy retail setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, ABO certification within 15 months, and licensure within 18 months where applicable. Store-based training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• Must obtain state optician licensure within 18 months of completing apprenticeship hours.

Responsibilities

• Stock and stock merchandise, set up and organize displays in the Optical area.
• Process member purchases, returns, and payments at the POS.
• Educate members on eyewear usage and care; assist with contact lens insertion and hygiene.
• Measure pupillary distance and frame fit; perform basic frame adjustments and repairs.
• Complete eyewear and contact lens orders; coordinate with labs and optometrists as needed.
