Qualifications

• ABO certification required to practice opticianry.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Must obtain state-required optician licensure within 18 months of hire.
• Must meet state apprenticeship/permit requirements to work as an apprentice optician.

Responsibilities

• Maintain optical displays and inventory; process eyewear orders and payments.
• Assist members with measurements, fittings, and repairs of frames and lenses.
• Perform pre-testing and record results; coordinate with labs and optometrists.
