Job summary

Sam's Club is seeking an Optical Associate to maintain the Optical area, assist members with eyewear decisions, and perform measurements and repairs. You will process orders, handle payments, and ensure accurate prescription information while providing excellent customer service.

The role requires knowledge of pupillary distance measurements, frame adjustments, and collaboration with labs and optometrists. Training and certification are supported, with benefits for full-time associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent by entry or within 12 months of hire.
• Willingness to obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• State licensure/registration requirements for apprentice or licensed optician where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Stock merchandise and maintain displays in Optical area.
• Assist members with eyewear decisions, measure pupillary distance, and process orders and payments.
• Perform frame adjustments, repairs, and final eyewear inspection.
• Coordinate with labs/optometrists on product status and updates.
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant record handling and insurance claims processing.
