Job summary

FedEx is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor in New York to champion the Safety Above All Culture, supervise Package Handlers, and manage day-to-day sortation and staff performance. You will lead safety initiatives, hire and coach staff, plan operations, train new employees on FedEx policies and SWAK/HazMat, and communicate updates in meetings.

This role requires strong leadership, flexibility, and the ability to work at night or early morning shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Six months experience in a package handler or supervisory role.
• Ability to read and interpret data and communicate effectively.
• Experience in fast-paced environments such as retail, hospitality, or warehouse is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Champion FedEx Safety Above All Culture and support related initiatives.
• Hire, train, coach, evaluate and manage staff performance and conduct.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and supervise employees for safe, efficient sortation and cost control.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate updates to small and large audiences.
