Job summary

FedEx is seeking an on-site Operations Supervisor in New York to oversee daily package sortation and a dedicated staff, ensuring safety and efficiency in line with the Safety Above All culture.

You will handle hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and staff development while ensuring compliance with FedEx policies and government regulations. This role demands strong leadership and the ability to drive improvements in key metrics.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience in package handler or supervisory roles.
• Ability to inspire a shared vision and empower a team.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Champion FedEx Safety Above All culture and initiatives.
• Manage hiring, coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
• Plan and direct day-to-day operations and staff assignments.
• Ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages and contact with linehaul as needed.
• Analyze performance and implement improvements to key metrics.
• Lead routine staff meetings and communicate updates clearly.
