Job summary

FedEx is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to support the Safety Above All Culture and lead a team of Package Handlers in daily sortation operations, while ensuring safe and efficient performance.

You will hire, coach, train, evaluate performance, manage administrative tasks, and drive improvements in key metrics, with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service; strong communication and leadership required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Six months experience in a relevant packaging/fulfillment environment or supervisory exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and staff to ensure safe, efficient sortation of packages.
• Hire, coach, train, recognize and evaluate staff performance.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage staff to minimize costs and maximize quality.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Mentor and develop junior supervisors and employees.
• Adapt quickly to changing business needs while maintaining positive leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
