Job summary

Grand Rapids Ophthalmology is seeking a Patient Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients, delivering excellent care and handling essential administrative duties for a smooth check-in and check-out process.

The role requires strong customer service, multitasking, and accurate cash handling in a fast-paced clinical setting. Full-time hours Monday through Friday with rotating Saturday shifts and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year related experience or training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Greet patients promptly with a smile and thank them when they leave.
• Answer phones and assure prompt, courteous service at all times.
• Manage patient flow in the office.
• Identify common fees for visits and collect payments accurately.
• Complete daily reconciliations and close the day cash drawer.
• Perform general office duties as assigned by the manager.
