Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician in Downers Grove. You will be part of a physician-led team supporting comprehensive ophthalmology services across clinics. Responsibilities include ophthalmic testing, patient education, and precise EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• COT certification or enrollment in progress is preferred.
• COT certification within one year of employment is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of ophthalmology/optometry experience.
• Experience operating standard ophthalmic evaluation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients with respect and professionalism.
• Explain processes and procedures to patients during visits.
• Obtain patient history including chief complaint and prior conditions.
• Document accurately in the EMR.
• Perform ophthalmic tests such as visual acuity, refractometry, tonometry, OCT, and imaging.
• Assist in exam room maintenance and instrument sterilization.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or in progress

COT certification within 1 year

2+ years ophthalmology/optometry experience

Experience with standard ophthalmic evaluation equipment
