Job summary

LensCrafters is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician to ensure patients receive the highest quality ophthalmic care and a seamless experience linking doctors and primary care functions. You will assist with eye exams, manage patient flow, and support documentation.

Responsibilities include preliminary evaluations, testing (OCTs, biometry, topography), and maintaining accurate records. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 1+ year of strong customer service skills (internal/external).
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Organization skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities and multitask in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use exam software, POS technology and ophthalmic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting patient flow throughout the exam.
• Performs preliminary evaluations including patient histories, medication lists, visual acuities, and various eye measurements.
• Performs special testing including OCTs, biometry, topography, and retinal imaging/photography.
• Explains measurements to patients and answers questions.
• Maintains patient records and HIPAA compliance.
• Adheres to attendance, policies, and proper dress code.
