Job summary

Luxottica’s Highline Vision Center seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to support doctors and staff in delivering high-quality eye care. The role includes patient care, preliminary testing, and disinfection of equipment in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include assisting with exams, managing patient records, and performing tests such as OCTs and biometry while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Weekend/evening shifts may be required, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting patient flow.
• Performs preliminary evaluations including patient histories, refraction, and basic measurements.
• Performs special testing such as OCTs, biometry, topography, and retinal imaging.
• Takes initiative to explain measurements and answer patient questions.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant, organized patient records and files.
• Adheres to scheduling procedures and uses computer systems effectively.
