Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners in Sandusky, OH is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, and perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry and lensometry before the physician assessment. You will document patient information in EMR, explain visit expectations, maintain a clean clinic environment, assist with minor procedures, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• EMR experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guide them to exam rooms.
• Explain what to expect during the visit and communicate delays or changes.
• Enter patient information into the EMR accurately.
• Record ophthalmic tests: visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures and administrative tasks.
