Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to assist in a clinical setting. You will greet patients, explain the visit process, escort them to exam rooms, and perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry.

You will update patient charts, maintain a sterile clinic environment, and support physicians with pre/post operative instructions. Strong EMR skills and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• EMR experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain what to expect during appointment.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and perform diagnostic ophthalmic tests (visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry).
• Document patient chief complaint and medical history in EMR.
• Maintain accurate notes and HIPAA-compliant handling of records.
• Explain medications and post-operative instructions to patients.
