Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to greet patients, perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry, and enter information into the EMR. You will assist with minor procedures and educate patients on medications and post-operative instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain what to expect during their appointment.
• Conduct diagnostic ophthalmic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry.
• Enter patient information into the EMR and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with minor procedures and laser treatments as needed.
• Educate patients on medications and pre/post operative instructions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
