Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners in North Canton, OH is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our clinic team. You will greet patients, explain the visit, escort to exam rooms, and perform diagnostic ophthalmic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry and lensometry, prior to physician assessment.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule with no weekends. You will maintain EMR notes, support minor procedures, educate patients on medications, and safeguard medical records per HIPAA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive is required.
• Stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain what to expect during the appointment.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and perform diagnostic tests (visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry).
• Document chief complaints and medical history; enter data into EMR accurately.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information and records.
• Assist with minor procedures and educate patients on medications and post-op care.
