Job summary

Comprehensive EyeCare Partners is a leading vision care management service organization focused on providing practice management and administrative services to affiliated physicians. The Surgery Coordinator will manage surgical scheduling and daily facility operations, ensuring a smooth patient journey from pre-op to post-op.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and computer literacy, with a focus on handling a high volume of appointments and maintaining patient satisfaction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience in a surgical ophthalmology setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Strong organization with attention to detail expected.
• Demonstrates computer literacy.
• Able to manage a high volume of patient surgical scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all patient surgical and pre-operative appointments, including those with the patient’s optometrist.
• Counsel patients regarding all aspects of surgery including eye drop instructions, day-of-surgery steps, and post-operative care.
• Collects all pertinent information for upcoming surgery such as bookings, insurance, H&Ps, and signed consent forms, and transfers to the surgical facility.
• Performs LASIK and other applicable calculations.
• Answer all telephone inquiries from patients and Shared Care doctors concerning surgery and related concerns.
• Assist in the daily functions of the operating room for surgical cases.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
