Job summary

Associated Retinal Consultants in Gaylord, MI seeks an Ophthalmic Scribe / Technician to support physicians during examinations and pre-procedure workups. You will scribe, prepare rooms, and document ophthalmic histories, while assisting with basic tests.

Certification as an Ophthalmic Scribe (OSC) is preferred; COA/COT is a plus. Strong EMR skills and precise documentation are essential for patient care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of retina-specific ophthalmology terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and keyboard proficiency.
• Ability to spell medical terminology and numbers accurately.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Team player with patient-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Scribe for Physicians and assist in examinations.
• Prepare patients and rooms for treatments per Physician directions.
• Record patient medical and ophthalmic histories in EMR.
• Measure visual acuity and basic ophthalmic tests.
• Assist with OCT and intraocular pressure measurements.
• Maintain room cleanliness and supply levels.
