Job summary

Associated Retinal Consultants in Traverse City, MI is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe / Technician to perform preliminary work-ups and scribe for physicians during examinations.

You will assist with patient preparation, record ophthalmic history, measure visual acuity, intraocular pressures, and support treatments under supervision. Certification in OSC or COA/COT preferred; strong EMR and ophthalmic term knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of retina-specific ophthalmology terminology and EMR use.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent written and spoken communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Scribe for physicians and assist with examinations and treatments.
• Prepare patients and rooms for procedures and record medical history.
• Measure visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and basic vitals; perform basic tests as directed.
