Job summary

Associated Retinal Consultants in Royal Oak, MI is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe / Technician to support physicians in clinic examinations. You will perform preliminary work-ups, document patient histories, and assist with procedures while maintaining accurate EMR entries.

The role requires ophthalmic terminology, precise data entry, and excellent customer service; OSC or COA/COT certifications are preferred, and travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• COA/COT certification preferred.
• OSC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as Scribe with retina terminology.
• Prepare patients and rooms for treatments per Physician.
• Obtain patient history including meds and allergies.
• Measure visual acuity and perform preliminary refraction.
• Record intraocular pressures and assess pupillary response.
• Perform basic visual field testing and patient education.
