Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Traverse City, MI seeks an Ophthalmic Scribe/Technician to perform preliminary workups, scribe for physicians, and assist with examinations.

You will use ophthalmic terminology, manage EMR documentation, and contribute to accurate patient records while supporting a fast-paced ophthalmology clinic. This role includes measuring acuity, intraocular pressures, OCT, vitals, and room preparation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of retina terminology and EMR usage.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; COA/COT preferred.
• Excellent keyboarding and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Scribe for physicians and assist with examinations as directed.
• Prepare patients and rooms for treatments and minor procedures.
• Gather medical history and document ophthalmic information accurately.
• Record acuity, intraocular pressures, and basic vitals.
• Input correct procedure and diagnosis codes into EMR.
• Perform OCT tests and assist with treatments when needed.
• Travel to other locations as assigned and support clerical tasks.
