Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Back Office Technician (Floater) to perform a mix of patient care, office, and laboratory duties across multiple Los Angeles region clinics. You will prepare patients for examinations and assist optical professionals in providing treatment to the eyes.

The role requires travel to multiple clinics, with duties including refractions, VA and IOP testing, fundus photography, and proper documentation in CareCoud/EMR. Prior ophthalmic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; travel across clinics required.
• Experience in ophthalmic/optometric settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist doctors.
• Perform refractions and VA/IOP tests.
• Capture fundus photos and conduct visual field tests.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and document findings.
• Update patient records in CareCoud/EMR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Occasionally transport patients between clinics.
• Adhere to policies and assist in other duties as assigned.
