Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Back Office Technician to support patient care and clinic operations across our ophthalmic practices. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist doctors, and perform a range of tests and imaging procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include documenting medical history, obtaining consents, conducting VA, IOP, VF, FA/ICG tests, taking fundus photos, educating patients, and maintaining clean exam rooms while complying with HIPAA and OSHA

Qualifications

• High School education, GED or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Ability to travel to other clinics.
• Experience in the Ophthalmic/Optometric industry preferred.
• Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist doctors.
• Document patient complaints and health history.
• Obtain consents and perform refractions.
• Administer VA, IOP, FA/ICG, and VF tests.
• Take fundus photos and patient education.
• Maintain sterile, stocked exam rooms and EMR documentation.
• Drive patients between clinics if required.
• Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulations.
