Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal PEPI invites an experienced Manager to join the Transformation Services team. You will guide engagements with private equity leadership to identify, design, and implement performance improvements across portfolio companies.

The role emphasizes shaping cost structures, organizational effectiveness, and process optimization, leveraging your background in consulting and industry to deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of professional industry or consulting experience implementing cost reduction programs, organizational restructuring, and / or cost structure improvements is required.
• Depth in a particular industry vertical is a plus (e.g., industrial, business services, distribution, consumer products and retail).
• MBA from a top-tier school highly preferred.
• Experience with PE relationships is a plus; experience in both professional services and industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements in Transformation Services for PE client portfolios.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost structure by changing leadership, staffing, and back-office efficiencies.
• Synthesize insights from data and facts to improve EBITDA and operating performance.
• Implement cost-reduction programs, including workforce changes and process enhancements.
• Develop findings and strategic recommendations for portfolio companies.
• Hands-on experience across margin management, S&OP, sourcing, organizational structure, and SG&A cost reduction.
