Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager in the Operations Group/Transformation Services to deliver large, complex engagements for private equity clients. You will identify cost-reduction opportunities, redesign leadership and staffing structures, and improve operating efficiency across portfolio companies.

The role requires 7–10 years of relevant consulting experience, MBA preferred, and experience with PE relationships.

Qualifications

7-10 years of professional industry or consulting experience implementing cost reduction programs, organizational restructuring, and/or cost structure improvements is required.
Depth in a particular industry vertical is a plus (e.g., industrial, business services, distribution, consumer products and retail).
MBA from a top-tier school highly preferred; PE experience a plus; experience in professional services and industry a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver large, complex engagements with Private Equity leadership.
Identify opportunities to reduce cost structure by changing leadership, staffing, and back-office functions.
Synthesize data and insights to improve EBITDA and operating efficiency.
Implement programs to reduce costs, including role changes, processes, and workforce reductions.
Develop findings and make strategic recommendations.
Hands-on experience in areas such as margin management, S&OP, sourcing and supply chain, org structure, non-labor cost efficiency, KPI-based performance management, SG&A cost reduction, and working capital management.
