Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Manager in the Operations Group/Transformation Services to lead large, complex engagements for private equity clients, focusing on cost reduction, organizational design, and performance improvement. You will partner with PE leadership to identify opportunities, structure plans, and deliver actionable recommendations that drive EBITDA growth.

You will guide teams across functional areas, implement workforce and process changes, and develop metrics to measure impact.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of professional industry or consulting experience implementing cost reduction programs, organizational restructuring, and/or cost structure improvements is required.
• Depth in a particular industry vertical a PLUS (e.g., industrial, business services, distribution, consumer products and retail).
• Experience working with PE and/or PE relationships a PLUS and experience working in both professional services and industry a PLUS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver large, complex PE engagements by partnering with Private Equity leadership to identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for portfolio companies.
• Structure performance improvement plans and manage the process through to completion on time-sensitive projects.
• Identify opportunities to significantly reduce cost structures by reorganizing leadership, staffing, and back-office functions, and drive efficiency improvements.
• Analyze data and insights to enhance EBITDA and operating performance.
• Develop findings and strategic recommendations and implement programs to reduce costs, including changes to roles, processes, and workforce reductions.
• Hands-on involvement across various areas such as margin management, S&OP, sourcing and supply chain, organizational design, and KPI development.
