Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of Operations to lead store performance on the sales floor and behind the scenes. You will coach your team to deliver accurate pricing, on-brand merchandising, and exceptional athlete experiences.

You’ll oversee inventory, fulfillment, scheduling, and payroll alignment with budgets, while developing talent, maintaining safety, and upholding company standards that help athletes achieve their dreams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in retail or customer-facing roles.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences with product knowledge.
• Follow merchandising standards, floor sets, signage, pricing and inventory presentation.
• Promote company programs and loyalty initiatives.
• Assist with 30-60-90 day plans with SM/ASM and department priorities.
• Develop schedules and staffing to meet athlete traffic while controlling payroll and budgets.
• Lead and develop a strong team, including hiring, onboarding, and recognition.
• Coach teammates and ensure policy compliance and safety.
