Job summary

WEX Inc. is seeking a subject matter expert to own the operational system ecosystem, bridging Operations, Product, Technology and Finance.

You will drive governance, automation and risk mitigation across billing, pricing, tax, and reconciliation workflows with strong data-control capabilities. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Technology, or a related field.
5 to 8 years of related work experience leading system implementations or financial systems initiatives.
Deep analysis of complex system architectures and data flows.
Proven ability to handle non-standard or high-pressure situations.
Autonomy with minimal supervision.
Direct experience supporting enterprise billing systems, pricing administration, tax compliance platforms, or financial reconciliation architectures.
Extensive collaboration across Product, Engineering, Corporate Finance, Risk and Operations.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the end-to-end operational system ecosystem and cross-functional solution design discussions.
Maintain end-to-end understanding of transaction and data flows across enterprise platforms.
Design, implement, govern system-based workflows for billing, pricing, tax, entitlements, settlement, and reconciliation.
Develop, implement and monitor data controls to maximize configuration accuracy across platforms.
Investigate non-standard, high-pressure operational errors and lead root cause analysis.
Audit configurations to align with contractual obligations, pricing structures, and regulatory tax requirements.
Identify bottlenecks and drive automation with product and engineering teams.
Establish and track KPIs to measure improvements in systems and processes.
Lead change management for adoption of new system processes across units.
