Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee collections activities across one or more lines of business, ensuring safety and operational goals are met while fostering team engagement and professional growth.

You will lead drivers and helpers, coordinate with the Operations and Division Managers on initiatives, manage onboarding, monitor performance for safety compliance, and contribute to process improvements across routes and logistics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clean CDL required.
• OSHA 10 or 30 card.
• Legally eligible to work in the US.
• Associate degree and 2–4 years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the operations team and develop team members for advancement.
• Oversee drivers and helpers to meet safety and operational goals.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Division Manager on tactical initiatives.
• Conduct onboarding for new drivers to align with Casella’s core values.
• Monitor and coach driver performance and compliance with policies.
• Investigate accidents, disputes, and complaints and document as required.
• Create logistical plans to reduce route hours via service conversions and container upsizing.
• Participate in training to expand company knowledge and support our mission.
