Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee collections activities and drive safety, efficiency, and team engagement across multiple lines of business within the division.

You will supervise the operations team, oversee drivers and helpers, and partner with the Operations Manager to implement initiatives that improve density and route efficiency. Strong communication and compliance with safety policies are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clean CDL license required.
• OSHA 10 or 30 card required.
• Legally eligible to work in the US.
• Associate degree preferred with 2–4 years supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the operations team and develop team members for advancement.
• Oversee drivers and helpers to ensure safety and operational goals are met.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager and Division Manager on tactical initiatives for excellence.
• Onboard newly hired drivers to ensure understanding of company values.
• Monitor and coach drivers, recommend training as needed for compliance.
• Investigate accidents, disputes, and complaints and document per policy.
• Create logistics plans to reduce route hours and improve density and efficiency.
• Participate in training and other learning opportunities to support company goals.
