Casella Waste Systems, Inc is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee collections activities across one or more lines of business within a division, focusing on safety and operational goals while fostering team engagement and professional growth.

The role manages drivers and helpers, partners with senior managers to drive efficiency, handles onboarding, coaching, and incident investigations, and supports training to advance the company vision.

Qualifications

• The candidate has a high school diploma or GED and a valid CDL with the ability to work legally in the US.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is required or preferred, and an associate degree is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to the operations team and develops team members to reach individual goals and enable advancement.
• Oversees drivers and helpers to ensure safety and operational goals are met.
• Partners with the Operations Manager and Division Manager to implement initiatives for excellence and goal achievement.
• Performs onboarding for newly hired drivers to ensure understanding of Casella’s core values.
• Monitors and coaches driver performance and compliance with policies; recommends retraining as needed.
• Investigates accidents, disputes, and complaints, ensuring documentation per policies.
• Creates logistical plans to reduce route hours and improve route density and efficiency.
• Participates in training to expand knowledge and support the company’s mission and values.
