Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead drivers and hourly staff, ensuring customer requirements are met at a single location. You will oversee scheduling, coaching, and performance management while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and process improvement skills, with responsibility for attendance, training, and collaboration with customer meetings. A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility to run the operation with a sense of urgency.
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel, complete Penske employment application, and pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and hourly staff at a Penske location to meet customer requirements and company goals.
• Conduct team meetings and oversee dispatch, CS, loading/unloading, and documentation.
• Evaluate and suggest changes to improve dispatch methods and train new staff.
• Provide relief coverage during time off and ensure site systems are used correctly.
• Ensure records and reports are completed timely and accurately.
• Monitor overtime and productivity to meet targets and profitability.
• Maintain safety alignment with the location's safety strategy and train staff.
• Drive continuous improvement and proper communication with customers.
