Job summary

CarMax in the Washington, DC area is seeking a Business Operations Associate to support store operations, processing sales, auctions, and appraisals with accuracy and customer service.

You will handle cash, audit paperwork, manage titles and DMV docs, train new associates, and ensure compliance with EH&S and confidentiality in a fast-paced team setting.

This role requires lifting up to 20 lbs, flexible hours, and strong organizational skills in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers and guiding them through paperwork.
• Process and audit paperwork for retail and wholesale sales, including contracts and DMV docs.
• Manage auction and appraisal transactions with accurate titles and funding documentation.
• Handle cash management, deposits, and security protocols.
• Train and mentor new associates and support multiple departments during peak times.
• Perform clerical duties and ensure accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
