Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an Operations and Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives and training across local operations. You will report to the General Manager and guide staff development, training delivery, and safety program implementation.

The role requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of safety regulations, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments to maintain high-quality service and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications according to local contract requirements.
• Previous passenger transportation or similar environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and screen operator candidates for training.
• Manage operator training programs and ongoing training.
• Coordinate safety programs and drug/alcohol testing.
• Oversee classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction.
• Audit training and safety records for compliance.
• Establish Safety Committee and communicate with management.
• Ensure OSHA/EPA compliance and safety policy adherence.
• Provide regular safety and performance reports.
