MV Transportation is seeking an experienced Safety and Training Manager to lead the division's safety and training initiatives, ensuring OSHA/CDL compliance and alignment with company and client policies. Qualifications

• Transit safety experience.
• Experience in urban public transit.
• Experience in passenger transportation environments preferred.
• College degree or 5+ years of safety management experience.
• CDS and/or CSP designation preferred.
• Knowledge of FTA, FMCSA, and DOT regulations.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all departments.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to delegate tasks and supervise staff.
• Familiar with Windows-based OS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Set the tone for training compliance for all operators.
• Ensure safety manuals, programs, policies and practices are current.
• Serve as the EPA and OSHA, CDL compliance expert.
• Verify new hires meet minimum qualifications including background checks.
• Use safety tech tools, analyze trends, and develop reduction plans.
• Oversee safety incentives and programs, including Safety Points.
• Promote a consistent safety culture across locations including operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate with claims to minimize liability and recover subrogation.
• Manage injury claims to minimize lost time and support light duty.
• Oversee audits by corporate, client, and regulatory bodies.
• Lead classroom and behind-the-wheel safety training.
